Already the night before tee off we have stood at first tee and just enjoyed. The course is being prepared for Senior British Open 2014. New green areas at 5th and 9th. Furthermore we are informed that the routing will be changed – 18th will play as first. The weather is on our side – sun +17 degrees and a gentle breeze. Like kids on Christmas day we enter the course. Every lie is commented, rough is analysed and the greens are inspected. The course gives and takes. We are under pressure the first three par4 holes, first, one of the best and beautiful starting hole to be seen at a linkscourse, second very tough approach that you have to smile and third is links, pure links.

We bounce back on 5th to 9th. A little shaken after the first nine holes , but we inhale the salty air and begin the inward nine. 14th, one of the best of many oneshotters demands attention and concern.

For each shot and hole we look our over the sea, now a little more alive, to search for energy and inspiration. One half of links75 gets an overdose of energy and play the last nine as linksgolf should be played. MrJ 4/2. We finish with birdie, par and lean back in the leathercovered chairs in the bar with a smile sipping a Guinnes. A course worthy an own life
