Without compass we began our search for the next tee. The longing for a challenge is here and the idea of how to defeat a linkscourse is humble. All of a sudden someone have offered us climbing skins, a detailed map och 12 holes with markerposts out of 18 possible. We throw ourselves out in the slope to raised greens with no areas to land the ball on. The lack of a mountainguide raise questions and enables creativity. We went from glad to overexcited. The lack of direction and distance sets us loose with 10 clubs.

Suddenly a 4 iron is an 8 iron ad a pw goes all the way to the flag. We handle the three iron with an unbelievable precision and use the driver in ways only a sherpa dreams of. Perranpoth is like a ride in newly fallen powder snow. We set tracks in the course for every shot. In the last few holes we walk past two members who says that the weather is unusally – calm

After WWII americans from a nearby base offered to bring some caterpilllars and flatten it down a bit. The members looked horrified and pointed at the clubsign that’s guarded by Jesus. In storm and rain we will return here – a challenge in class with haute route Chamonix – Zermatt.
