Pennard Golf Club
Anticipated Links Experience:
Located 200 feet above Three Cliffs Bay, this is a cliff-links with marvellous views. Often called “the links in the sky”. The course is laid out on undulating terrain with dramatic height differences. A unique links experience.
Best Holes:
par3: 15th
par4: 9th
par5: 16th
Worthy of Note:
The course contains a ruin, which appears on the club crest, and the remains of a medieval church which acts as a natural obstacle on the 7th hole.
History:
The course has been in existence since 1896, and like so many courses dating from this period, James Braid was involved. In this case he laid-out the opening holes before handing over responsiblity to C.K Cotton, who was involved at both Ganton and Royal Lytham.
